Founder & LPC Supervisor, M.Div., LPC-S

I’m Deidra-Ann Leiba-Masese—a counselor, minister, wife, and mother. I understand the challenge of wearing many hats and the emotional weight that often comes with trying to balance it all. Life can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. My mission is to create a space where your story is honored, your voice is heard, and your well-being is supported.
My Journey
I was born in Jamaica, West Indies, and later became a resident of Brooklyn, New York, where my passion for preaching, teaching, and counseling began to grow. These passions led me to pursue theological training at Oakwood University, where I earned a B.A. in Theology, and then to Andrews University Theological Seminary, where I received my Master of Divinity (M.Div.).
With a heart to serve more deeply and meet people in the midst of their emotional and relational struggles, I went on to earn a Master’s in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Today, I am privileged to serve in private practice, blending clinical expertise with faith-based care to help individuals and couples experience healing and hope.
My Approach
At Center for Hope Counseling, I believe in the power of safe, compassionate, and culturally responsive support. Whether you are facing:
- Stress or anxiety
- Financial or career pressures
- Parenting challenges or transitions
- Singleness or relationship issues
- Illness, grief, or loss
- Family conflict or communication struggles
- Or simply feel stuck and in need of clarity and peace
…you are welcome here.
We offer individual and couples counseling—both virtually and in person—and are committed to walking alongside you on your journey to healing and growth.
Education
- Master’s in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona (2015)
- Masters of Divinity degree from Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan (2007)
- Bachelor’s in Theology with a minor Chaplaincy & Counseling from Oakwood University, Huntsville, Alabama (2005)
In my practice, I draw from a wealth of knowledge. I am an immigrant from the Caribbean, raised in the America—have lived on the East Coast, the Mid-West, the South, and have been immersed in various Africa cultures. Within my own life, I’ve faced the trauma of losing both of my parents within a five-year period, then the joy of being married and becoming a mother of two, all while caring for family members with mental health issues, and leading a 400-member congregation.
I decided to start my own private practice to help people in Arlington, TX—because I understand that life is difficult and can present challenges, questions, feelings, and thoughts beyond our abilities to process and cope with alone.
I have a passion for working in collaboration with people of all ages to provide a safe therapeutic space to explore your strengths, challenges, relationships and to ultimately help you achieve your goals.
Whatever your concerns are; whether it’s stress, family issues, feeling down, life transitions, needing individual or couples counseling-Center for Hope Counseling is here to help!
I believe that your story is important and what you have to say matters, and I look forward to beginning a conversation together.
